MISSION STATEMENT
E.A.C.A.C.O.V is dedicated to the successful settlement and participation of African migrant and refugee communities in Victoria by providing information, advocacy, support, advice, referrals and other social services in a culturally sensitive manner in order to enable them to access mainstream services and opportunities.
EACACOV's African Holistic Social Services, assists all African-Australians who trace there genealogy from African countries and those who feel connected to Africa to address issues that impact on their settlement in Australia.
This project is funded by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) under the Settlement Grants Program (SGP) to provide a holistic settlement service and complex crisis case management, with Africans in Victoria being the primary target group.
What we aim to do
Provide holistic and culturally sensitive settlement casework services to families and youth, refugees and humanitarian,
entrants, new migrants, as well as individual men and women;
Identify the settlement needs of Africans in Victoria;
Advocate on behalf of all Africans with respect to social welfare service provisions;
Co-operate with other service providers to achieve better outcomes for the target group, in terms of service provisions;
Resource and support communities and groups to meet their specific needs.
